The Republic of Zambia has maintained diplomatic presence in India since 1975 when the Zambian High Commission opened in New Delhi.
The High Commission is headed by Her Excellency, Judith K.K.Kan'goma-Kapijimpanga, High Commissioner with ten (10) diplomatic staff and 16 locally engaged members of staff.
In order to effectively carry out the Government's policy of Economic and Diplomacy to a wider part of Asia, the Mission is also accredited to six(6) other countries on a non-resident basis.
These are Singapore, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Myanmar.
So far, the High Commissioner has presented letters of credence to Singapore, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives except Myanmar which is anticipated soon.
